Noam's apartment is a location in San Francisco, Pacifica, which is briefly shown in the prologue comic and in Issue 1.

History[]

Sometime before 2030, Noam rented this apartment room, which became a regular hangout spot for them and their friends, Pax and Sai. During their on-off relationship with Pax, the two would sleep together in the bedroom. However, the three friends were not satisfied with their life in Pacifica, and on September 15, 2030, Pax brought up a risky offer that she received from the Weave, which could give the group a new life in Nova Scotia. On September 27, the three invite the Weave's mole within the Puritans, Theo, to the apartment to discuss the job. Theo waits patiently at the door while Pax, Noam, and Sai discuss their situation in Pacifica. Noam states that being discovered as an Anomal would take away all of their financial success. Sai states that she is stuck in dead-end jobs and that her Vox is hard to control and hide because of her emotions. When Pax discusses her reasons, she can choose to frame her reasons in terms of her future, security, or money. If she chooses to focus on her future, she states that even if it were not for her financial situation and fear of anti-Anomal persecution, she has no prospects, papers, or family in Pacifica, and she would just be existing without truly living. If she thinks about security, she expresses her worry about being exposed as an Anomal and how her kind are kidnapped in Pacifica despite the law supposedly protecting them, though she also admits that she is looking forward to better job prospects in her final destination. If she picks money, Pax talks about how she is barely able to pay rent and survive with gig jobs and small cons, though she also mentions that her lack of papers and fear of being exposed for her Vox is also a factor to wanting to leave. Once the three Anomals are done discussing their motives, Theo joins the conversation and explains that the group will rent a small and inconspicuous car with cash. On October 13, the crew begins the mission, never to set foot in the apartment again.
